Well, don't feel bad, I may have to miss it this year if travel is required of me for work. Good to hear that your area did not suffer too bad from the recent hurricanes.

Oh i definitely plan to participate this year. I had so much fun last year and actually finished! But yes, lots of good games are coming between now and the end of November (including the Mines of Moria expansion for my current MMO addiction) that are threatening to deter me from writing, but i already have so many ideas that i can't wait for November to just start putting them all down.
I'm glad too, to hear that you're still surviving the Hurricanes Billie.

Hey guys, Just wanted you to know that I am gonna "participate" this year, with the understanding that I will probably drop out after a week. I enjoy the writing too much to deny myself a little fun. I think I'll try to knock out a short story in the first week, just to keep the fingers nimble. I have very little idea what I'm gonna do. I'll probably just brainstorm on ideas and see what develops. I'm happy to cheer you on, Aidin, and D'Lure also if you want to join us. Anyone who wants to view my "progress" can drop by here. www.nanowrimo.org/eng/user/157114Go Team FX! Billie

Nobody is going to blame you if you don't finish. There's no guarantee that anyone will finish. In fact, the likelihood is that i won't. But it was quite fun last year so i want to give it a shot anyway. Glad to hear that you're participating Billie. And good luck with what you do decide on.

I'm giving the ole team try. Though I will be on travel for work for half the month. Who knows, maybe that will help.

Hey FX Literary-Minded Folks, November is almost here again (it's an annual thing, I guess) and I am more interested in writing a 50,000 word novel in 30 days than ever before. In fact, this time I am the local volunteer Municipal Liaison for my area. I did not do much writing at all last year (I opted out to play the new WoW expansion!) and I regret that. You can learn more about National Novel Writing Month here. The event is in its eleventh year and bigger than ever: www.nanowrimo.org/My local Lafayette forum link can be found here: www.nanowrimo.org/eng/node/197Aidin and D'Lure, if you are interested once again, your old log-ins should still be present and feel free to introduce yourselves in one of the Lafayette threads. And if anyone else is curious, please let me know and I can answer any questions you have. I have a great idea for a novel that has been waiting fifteen years for me to get around to it. I was thrilled to find all my old notes and I've begun doing research in preparation. This year I've got changelings, skeleton people, faerie apocalypse, and strawberry-flavored kittens in the mix. Bille (apathos on the NaNo forums)
