I have a fast question, and nobody was in-game earlier for me to bug. I happened to check the OFFERS box on my vendors today in Arca, and to my surprise the thing was chock-full of items, some of the things containers filled with goods! Only a few items had a seller listed, and it was a person I've met and talked with recently. All the other items were blank, and identified only as TARGET (well, %TT to be accurate) in the "Item Purchased" e-mails. Is this what happens when someone offers you a good and then their account is no longer active? Or is it maybe just a glitch of some kind? To look at the items, it would indeed seem someone was donating all their belongings to me at one credit apiece. It may have been I'whaaa, since I got two named instruments I'd made myself. I guess someone was bailing out completely. Just curious as to why the stuff got sold without a tag. Lady Day

Yeah, I think once they delete their character it goes to %TT.

I believe Summ'er is correct, although I hadn't heard of that before.
Some (but not all) of my player crafted items no longer list the crafter of the item if they deleted their account.
Another weird quirk I guess

Same here, Zubin. I found many things blank, but some stuff I've had on the vendor forever lists the original maker. And Of course I carefully hang on to the stuff by the folks who came before me. Lady Day P.S. George Lucas should insert his OWN name into that blank seller space in the transaction. Sony should charge him a handsome advertising fee. Big marketting opportunity, and big cash flow opportunity for Sony. Just a thought.

Big marketting opportunity, and big cash flow opportunity for Sony. Just a thought. Not so far from potential reality as one might think. Everyone remember how The Sims had an expansion that let your Sims work at McDonalds(tm)? It wouldn't surprise me at all if companies start trying to work product placement into video games more and more in the future. As Raph Koster used to say, these games are heading for movie-sized budgets and years of development just to get off the ground. New sources of revenue will no doubt be explored, and that could well include in-game advertising. That could be in the form of an advertisement on the loading screen... or maybe even in-game billboards, etc.

If I ever have the option for burger flipper in SWG I think that's when I'll leave. Or get a burger. Not sure which. /flip

In EQ2, you can do a /pizza command in game to place an online order at Pizza Hut for delivery. They've also allowed real money trading for in game items and such.
Scary, huh?
