Is anyone good at writing song lyrics? I would like to get some original songs together to perform but am lousy at coming up with lyrics.
Also, was wondering if anyone has any interest in forming a band? I have noticed that live bands, as oppossed to just a random group of entertainers tends to draw nice crowds.

I am definitely interested in forming a band. I have always wanted to actually come up with macros for each person timed just right to make songs, etc. I think it is a good use of my time

I'd certainly be up or it, schedule permitting.
Did you want to establish set roles (one guy is rhythm section, one is mando, one is nalorgan, etc.)?
It'd be fun to play some gigs. Have not done a wedding in a long time. The name of the band is important, too, of course! Ideas?

Sex Factory.
Edit: Oh, and I've written a song or two, but they were never terribly serious. In fact, they were just plain loopy.

Yes, the idea is to create a band like any real life band. Each member with thier own role.

I'd love to join....but Shala isn't ready and my idea for an alt needs Shala to be a Jedi so I'm just gonna have to play later. (Yes, I know Jedi is a long grind but I so want to make my Female Albino Bothan Child Circus Performer [MEnt, MCH, Dance XX3X, BH XXX4 {or something}]).
EDIT: opps, I think I let the cat out of the bag.....

Probably a good thing. It was getting pretty ripe in there.

Ok, I know that is interst, so if those who wish to give this a try could start throwing around ideas for the style of play we want to do and some names for a band while I am out of touch the next few weeks(getting married and all) that would be great! Also include what instrument you would like to play in the band.
Personaly I would like some form of rock band. Admittedly my taste are more geared for the '80's sound but if it rocks I'm there.
Instrument wise I would like to play the Bandfill or the Nala.

Well, I'm supposed to be a singer, so with that in mind I'd like to play an instrument that only requires your hands to work (i.e. mando or nal--but not horns, and probably not ommni, since you have to sit down for that). You look kind of silly trying to sing while playing a horn.

I couldn't be in your band...I can only play crappy Entertainer songs and no Western. Also...I hate blowing intruments...I prefer fingering them. I can be a guest player on special occasions though!

If I can get on-line anytime soon and get that second account open I'd love to be part of the act...but probably not a regular member of the band...

I am a drummer IRL but will play anything. Since there seems to be a shortage of horns, I'll be happy to fill out the brass section for us, either Traz or Chind horn.

Ok, so far it looks like we have a trio for the main section of the band, Billie singing and playing the mando, Brinn on horns (we can switch the horns out as needed, might add a bit of flare to the music line up) and I will provide the bass on the bandfill.

You forgot the fact that Billie can be either Mando or Nala...she's great on both. You need one on each to make it right IMO along with the bandfill. Sorry I gave up Master Musician for Master Pistoleer, but I had to protect myself and kill shit.

Yeah, either one's is okay. Real Life Billie's father, Clarence Holiday, was a guitar-player with Fletcher Henderson's band, so mandoviol is fine--kind of in the family--but keyboards fit a bit more neatly into the jazz image (and if Billie were limited to only one accompanist, it would certainly be a pianist). But, uhhm, yeah, whichever is fine. As long as I still get to make greer lasers come out of my feet.

Yeah, but your feet being hidden behind the Nala won't show the lasers coming outta your feet...more like from the base of the Nala.

Good point. I wonder if it works barefoot? (Where am I supposed to hide the laser blasters?)

well, I can play Nal too now. If it is just the 3 of us, we can use droids for some instruments if needed and switch around ourselves, depending on the song. We will have to experiment.

I'm good on the mando or the horns if ya need me. But much as I love it, don't put me behind the nala. I'm always looking up from it and forgetting to play.

Excellent!! And I do like the idea of going for a more jazz style of play.

Ok, I've thought about it and I am about to use my token respec with Summ'er to go to Master Musician/Master Entertainer (if we can). Or at least as close as I can get to it. I don't use her to fight at all anymor anyway and being a musician would be nice to be again (I miss it so much!).
So... can I be in your band? /sniff
Oh, and D'Lure: What happened with the play? I only ever received and edited Act I.

Yay!! Good job, Summ'er! PS. What are your thoughts, everyone, on our costuming? Do we want to go for a posh nightclub look, in formal jackets for the gents and lavish dresses for the ladies? Or do you think we should do a matching-color and outfits deal? Also, any thoughts on band name? I was thinking that The Billie Holiday Quintet (or Quartert or Sextet) would look great on those theater marquees!

I was thinking Summ'er Dream. lol
Hum... I would think a few different uniforms would be best. A dark set and a bright set at least.

My vote is for Ivo and the Stalkers.
And I'm ok with almost anything for our outfits except matching colors. Unless of course y'all want to wear yellow? ;D

My vote is for Ivo and the Stalkers. LOL ;D I really like that one, but it sounds either very '77 punk or rock-a-billy. Hey, now there's a good band name, The Rock-A-Billies!

A side note: I am still working on the play, however for this week it must take a back seat to my wedding.
And yes Summ'er, welcome to the band.

I'll be happy to help design the band outfits (and maybe be back up instrumentalist/dancer) when I get my new comp. Word has it that my new baby will be ready tomorrow!
