Nothing ever tops SWGs when it comes to talking about social play in MMOs for me.
I hope you guys and gals are all doing well.
I wish I had even ONE picture of my bar(s), but I lost all that good stuff in the crash of '04. If anyone has anything, please e-mail me at elbasunu at gee mails dot comzzors.

Greetings old friend, I just happened by chance to check in here. Amba and I still play, although if you read the news, you know SOE is not in a position to offer games to anyone this week. I have a ton of old pictures, and I will try to see if I have any of your cantina. I'll wager that I have. We still have Arca Effex up and running and it hasn't changed a whole lot. I am still the ROGUE Guild Leader, Novo is the Mayor, and Amba is still the best thing to happen in my life. I hope you are well and enjoying the Life Side of the Force. Esse

Wow, Esse! Thank you for keeping up Arca Effex!
I have to totally agree that SWG was the best social play experience ever. I think I have been trying to search for it ever since in other games and nothing has ever come close to it.
As some of you know, I've been testing SWTOR and I was hoping desperately that it will bring a similar experience, but alas, I don't think we will ever see an MMO again that allows for such open-ended game play. It is a good game, don't get me wrong, but it follows the basic structure most MMO seem to have these days, the WoW structure. There are a ton of simple things I miss... such as being able to actually SIT in chairs. The character customization options in SWG is still far superior. And no other MMOs has been able to do crafting or do player housing as well as SWG. Our FX-Wing is still one of the most impressive things I have ever seen achieved in a game... It exceeds even downing raid bosses!
Anyway, I am hoping I can play with many of you again with the launch of SWTOR. I am on Steam as Anjubee.
