Just a heads up, the last episode airs on Sci-fi channel at 7 for people who missed it, or want to see it again before tonights new episode. 9th wonders site has some info about another new guest star. Seems they found the perfect actor to play Hiro's father. I won't spoil it here in case some of you don't want to know. But it's not to hard to figure out if you think about it.... www.9thwonders.com/boards/index.php?showtopic=35124Oh and Ain't it cool news raves about tonights new episode. "It seems like every episode of “Heroes” introduces a new mutant to the mix, but this week we learn that a major character possesses a heretofore hidden superpower." (minor spoiler's at the link) www.aintitcool.com/node/30761*edit* Yahoo has some clips from tonights episode! Needless to say, some of these clips are MAJOR spoilers... like seriously. Even the names of the clips on the page would spoil stuff so don't click if you wanna go into tonight's episode fresh. (I'm such a geek... ;D ) After watching the third clip, I really like Claire's friend Zach even more! tv.yahoo.com/feature/fall06/?d=503

My bet is on Claire's father. He has to have something to control the Haitian and Eden.

Just a heads up, the last episode airs on Sci-fi channel at 7 for people who missed it, or want to see it again before tonights new episode. TY. I did watch it, and got two new things out of it. I'm a lunkhead for not realising all along that Eden looked at Claire funny because she had seen her in Isaac's painting, so she knows the girl plays a major role. OK. Did the first scene in the cafe have that Emmylou Harris song playing when this first aired? How did I fail to notice that before? Anyhow, it is an excellent song from her 1995 album Wrecking Ball, which I recommend to anyone who thinks it sounded pretty, or to anyone with any taste whatesoever. The song (which, curiously, is about a suicide = clue? ) was written by the incredible songwriter Lucinda Williams and the original version can be found on her CD of the same name. Side One of that record is one of the best "song cycles" anyone had ever done. So big ups to the music director for her good taste! I guess I will watch the new episode tonight. Think I should? (JK)

15 minutes into tonights episode and I just had to say one thing...
Go Claire! What a (well deserved) punch! ;D
*edit* Am I the only one thinking Claire's friend Zach is coming in a close second to Hiro on the cool character scale? He just keeps getting more and more awesome.

I'm impressed as hell so far, too. It seems to me like they saved some time and budget for this special episode. The cinemtography is better than usual (I loved the opening shot of the cheerleaders in formation), and every other scene is one of the most memorable things they've shown yet.
I was cheering at that punch as well. That was bad ass! (And she doesn't even have to worry about hurting her hand.)

That brings me back to my point. How does Clarie's dad control those two?
I do hope that he doesn't try to sacrifice Peter to the cops to keep his capture of Sylar under wraps.

I have no clue about the haitan, but my guess is Eden is there by choice. They hinted at the fact that she was a drug addict before, so maybe Claire's dad found out she had this power, and helped her get off the drugs?
Loved Peter in this episode! I kind of wish he could have figured out what powers Sylar had though. I mean when those locker doors went flying towards him , I expected him to pick up Sylar's power and fight back. Although I did like seeing him put himself back together when Claire came by.
Anybody got a guess about the scene with Jessica towards the end? She knows D.L. power so what happens? I'm guessing she tried to be sneaky like that so he wouldn't be able to use his powers, but what if it was like some instinct? I can't imagine they would let her kill him like that....
Am I the only one who thinks Jackie got what she deserved? I mean , she was a major bitch to Claire and Zach.
And can we talk about how cool Zach is becoming ? I mean seriously, he pretty much came out to Claire in the scene in her bedroom... he organised the campaign for her (without telling her). He scored major points in my book.

Afetr watching the bit with the heroes running around the school, and seeing the lighted clock on the front facade of the building, I had this weird impression that next week we'd end up seeing Hiro, after having spent the last six months in the past, come save the day in a Back to the Future sequence where he was running around behind the scenes, throwing stuff in Sylar's way! But fortunately, Peter was able to save Claire by himself, so that won't be necessary.
It's looking like Hiro doesn't change the present at all? Hmm. We'll see.
Next week's episode promises big explanations! Wow!
EVERYBODY WATCH MASI OKA TONIGHT ON CONAN! YAY!

Hey Billie, you heard about what next episode is right? The whole episode is 6 months in ago. Like when some of the people (Niki) first start to discover their powers. And of course We see Hiro go back in time to save the waitress. Save the waitress, save your lovelife?

It's Prehistoric Heroes!
Yeah, that sounds pretty damn cool. I hope they don't diverge from the past at all, and just show one scene after another all happening simultaneously. It'll ruin the effect if they intercut with the present. But I'm starting to trust their scripterwriters to get it right.

Everything I have read says the next episode is all set in the past. I can't imagine they would cut back and forth, but who knows? BTW Masi was awesome on Conan! He got surprised when Conan showed a cover of time magazine with Masi as a little kid! Very funny interview, but not enough talk about the show! I want spoilers dang it! lol

According to the preview Jessica is dead and has been so for years. It looks like Nikki and Jessica were twins. IF so, then my guess is that Jessica is some sort of mind rider and jumped into Nikki when she died. Nikki has the super strength, but doesn't know it, but Jessica hiding in her mind does.
The thing is, how come Nikki doesn't know who Jessica is?

I'm so lost on the whole Jessica Niki thing right now so I'm not even gonna think about it until the 6 months in the past episode. Maybe that will make sense of it all? I was watching last night's episode again, and I am wondering about this new painting Isaac did for Claire's father? At first i thought it was Ted covered in flames, or heat, radiation I don't know.. something like that. But what if the theories about Sylar are right and he steals people's powers? We already know he has a telekinesis from when he made the FBI lady point the gun at her own head, and last night throwing locker doors at Peter. Then he does that thing with people's heads, like just pointing at the head and slicing it open. (ewwww) And I'm guessing he was able to freeze people since the crimescene back in episode 2 (first time we see Matt) had the guy at the table all frozen. And when Matt shot him he jumped up and out of the way or something. (way unclear on what happened there) So if we go with the power stealing thing, maybe the new painting shows Sylar after killing Ted and taking his power? We already know the cops lost Ted somehow... and that guy in the painting had a mean look on his face, like he was ready to blow somebody up. *ramble ramble* sigh... For every question answered , a dozen more pop up! LOL ;D

Just found an interview of Masi Oka (Hiro) on usatoday.com. Be warned before you go, that they give the name of the actor playing Hiro's father. (in case some of you don't want it spoiled) www.usatoday.com/life/television/news/2006-11-19-hiro-main_x.htm*edit* Oh and Hiro's blog finally gets an update. An entry all about Charlie the waitress. They even address the goof up Hiro makes when he refrences the "Days of future past" x-men comic. "She had powers too. She was like wikipedia, google, my own Jeeves. She even corrected me on which issue Kitty Pride traveled back in time in. Issue #141. I thought it was #143 (?.?)"

When you read the comic, you will see just how powerful Eden really is. She could have killed Sylar with just one word.

Hey guys.. I ran across something odd on netflix. Seems they have an early listing for Heroes season 1, they love to show listings way early so that's not the weird bit.
Weird part was the description. Now this may just be someone at Netflix making up junk so they have a listing... but if they got it from nbc, or something it may answer the big theory about Sylar.
(take it with a grain of salt, or two) "This sci-fi action saga follows a global group of young, everyday people who, in the midst of perfectly normal lives, awake to discover they each have special powers -- from stopping time to reading people's thoughts. The newly minted unlikely superheroes eventually join forces to defeat their mutual foe, who plots to steal their super-DNA and destroy the world. Dave Semel ("American Dreams," "Beverly Hills, 90210") directs the series pilot. "

Just had a thought (which makes me over my quota for the day!).
We are all hung up on the idea that Sylar is taking people's brains to gain their powers. What if he is taking their brains to power up his own power. Each one makes his TK even more powerful. That would explain why we haven't seen him use anything but TK.

But we did see the frozen guy with his head cut open at that first crime scene. And I'm still not sure if he runs fast, or has some kinda super jump thing going on. When Matt shot him it seemed like a superjump straight up , but it's hard to say for sure cause it was off-camera. And am I wrong in thinking just before he grabbed Peter he did some kinda super run or jump to zip to the top of the bleacher area?

Just a thought here, but freezing is simply an extreme application of telekinesis. All you're doing is slowing down molecules until they quit moving, which takes all the heat away. The super speed and super leap can also be explained by applications of TK. . . .
I could be completely wrong.

Not a bad theory, but I'm still leaning towards it being stolen powers. Alot of the spoilery stuff I keep looking at points in that direction... Speaking of spoilery stuff, does anyone wanna see the guy playing Sylar? If not, don't click the IMDB link below! www.imdb.com/name/nm0704270/Oh and Billie, did you read the spoilery bit about the new guy coming on the show? I'm so tempted to let that one out of the bag here...

Jan 22. Can you hold out that long? Or will you give in to the dark side? *mwahahahahaha* Oh and about Hiro's father? For people who don't want to know who it is, avoid all articles and interviews. Seems like it's being mentioned everytime the show comes up now.

Well, technically the Netflix thing doesn't exactly say anything we didn't know, of course it says 'super DNA' instead of 'brains'. And i like kikra's idea, that he's stealing them to power up his own. Yes, super speed and flying could indeed be byproducts of TK (hell, Jean Grey uses it to fly) and if all we saw was a frozen dead guy (i don't remember way back then) are we certain that it was Sylar's doing? Doesn't Iceman do that very thing with his own ice-making powers. However, if the spoilers that say he stealing their powers are indeed from NBC or one of the creators then i suppose we've been trumped (well at least i have since i've been against the whole power stealing theory from the beginning.)
